The 2023 CHAT in the Park fundraiser was a great success!
In fall of 2022, we held a small but impactful bottle drive fundraiser. After the success of this event, we began planning for an even bigger fundraiser for 2023: CHAT in the Park!
In June, we hosted the CHAT in the Park fundraiser at Laurier Park. People participated in a 5 km Fun Run hosted by the Running Room. There were games, and a silent auction. It was so positive to see people in the community come together to connect and support The CHAT Society mission.
Thanks to our supporters, we raised over $3000!
These donations enabled us to make a difference:
- We subsidized 13 campers at the Alberta Aphasia Camp
- We helped 2 people with aphasia access speech therapy at Corbett Clinic this fall
Following this community building event, we’re already planning next summer’s CHAT in the Park. We aim to create a memorable experience and continue making a positive impact on those facing communication challenges.
